Finland. The Workshop is part of MEITIM – Master in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and

The 3rd International Workshop on Skills and Competencies of the XXI century Workforce
7-8 November 2022 at LUT University Lappeenranta campus and on-line
The Workshop is part of MEITIM – Master in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology
Integration in Mining project, supported by EIT Raw Materials Academy. The event is FREE
of charge, the registration is obligatory to get access to the campus and connect on-line.
Day 1 Design Thinking Training is free of charge for Workshop participants, participation fee
is 100 Euros for others. Day 2 keynote talks and success stories are broadcasted from the
main stage at LUT University, Lappeenranta, Finland.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The minerals industry is facing a changing talent landscape, with digitization necessitating
new skillsets. Defining which skills and professional capacities are needed by students that
will constitute the Engineering workforce in a few years’ time is vital in order to benefit from
technology advances and to contribute to the development of business in new competitive
environments.
The “Skills and competencies of the XXI century workforce” International Workshop
explores different opinions and trends existing in the business sector. Students, leading
companies, research centers, and stakeholders will meet together with selected speakers
and renowned figures in industry to analyze and discuss the professional needs of the
future.
